About this course

This Nationally Accredited Unit of Competence SITHFAB002 - Provide responsible service of alcohol online training incorporates the knowledge requirements, under state and territory liquor licensing law, for employees engaged in the sale or service of alcohol.

NSW Competency Card Fee included in the purchase price

This course has been created specifically for New South Wales and is approved by NSW Liquor & Gaming.  Upon successful completion of this training, you will receive: 

  • Interim NSW Competency Card which will be valid for 90-days.  During that 90-day period you will be required to attend a participating Post Office to have your photo taken for issuance of your Competency Card which will be valid for 5-years.
  • Statement of Attainment for SITHFAB002 - Provide responsible service of alcohol

The Statement of Attainment is also accepted as recognised RSA training in ACT, Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia.

To create your personal Student Account you will need

  • Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number - Visit the Australian Government website www.usi.gov.au to get yours
  • Your date of birth and full legal name
  • A personal email address (not a company email)
  • If you have purchased courses with HAT before you can login to your 'Student Login' and then purchase the course once logged in

Learning outcomes

At the conclusion of this course you will have an understanding of how to:
  • Sell or serve alcohol responsibly
  • Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
  • Assess alcohol affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused
  • Refuse to provide alcohol

Duration

  • Self-paced Estimated Duration: 4-hours minimum
    • Actual time required will depend upon a student’s learning capability along with their current level of knowledge and understanding of this topic

How to get your certificate

  • Successfully complete the online and video/verbal assessment in your own time
  • Once your course has been marked as competent, you will be able to download the 'Authenticity Declaration' form from your student profile
  • Follow the instructions on this form and have it signed and returned to Hospitality Alliance Training 
  • Once Hospitality Alliance Training has witnessed your signed Authenticy Declaration and received all required forms, you will be emailed an alert letting you know that your Certificate/Statement of Attainment can be downloaded from your student profile

Authenticity Declaration

  • As a Registered Training Organisation, we need to verify that the person who completed the online training and assessment is the same person who enrolled for the course and will be issued with the Statement of Attainment.
  • Once you have completed the online assessment, an Authenticity Declaration Form will be available for you to complete and send to Clubs WA (Trading as Hospitality Alliance Training).
